It’s rare that I love a photo taken during the middle of the day under blue skies and sun. This photo, however, is such a perfect representation of this day that I can’t help but love it.

I had set out with plans to hike Mt Lafayette via the Greenleaf Trail. As the tallest peak on Franconia Ridge, this would have been a strenuous day. Once I got up to Greenleaf Hut and saw this view, I knew I had to make my day longer and hike along the ridge. I added Mt Lincoln and Little Haystack Mountain to my hike and ended up with just over 10 miles and 4000 vertical feet of climbing.
