Long Point Lighthouse is perched right out at the very tip of Cape Cod. It’s opposite Provincetown at the very edge of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The hike out to Long Point starts off with a brutal slog along the breakwater through the middle of the harbor. The rest of the walk covers sand dunes and marshes and is unpassable at high tide.
Luckily, I timed this trip perfectly and we managed to escape the hike with our feet largely dry. The sunset was calm and beautiful. This photo includes two lighthouses - Wood End Lighthouse is just barely visible on the horizon next to the sun.
